With the growing acceptance of probiotics, where is the Indian market placed?
The pandemic has had a positive impact on the sales of probiotics globally. There are many players offering products for immune modulation on immune enhancement. However, In India, we did not observe a major upswing in the probiotic market whereas other products like vitamin C, vitamin D and zinc were hugely in demand because of people’s belief that they help build immunity. Unfortunately, probiotics were left out.
